Let your customers know when their orders are placed outside your store’s regular hours — whether due to holidays, closing hours, or vacations.
This extension offers two main features: “On Vacation” and “Operating Hours”. Both are designed to define periods when your store is considered inactive. During these times, you can either simply notify the customer about potential delays or prevent checkout entirely.
Ideal for managing customer expectations and improving transparency, especially when you're temporarily unavailable to process orders.
Features
- “On Vacation” setting
- “Operating Hours” setting
- Choose between notification only or disabling checkout entirely
How It Works
#1. On Vacation
Enable this feature and set a date when your store will be temporarily closed. Once the selected date arrives, a notification will appear letting customers know that the store is currently not operating.
Note: Enabling this setting without selecting a date will have the same effect as disabling it.
#2. Operating Hours
Define your store’s working schedule. You can either keep it open full-time all week or set a custom schedule. If using custom hours, simply tick the days and input the start and end times. If no time is entered for a selected day, the store will be considered open 24 hours that day.
Both the "On Vacation" and "Operating Hours" settings offer two possible actions:
- Notify Only: A warning message appears on checkout step 5 (Payment Method), but customers can still complete their order.
- Notify and Disable Checkout: The warning message appears, but the payment step is blocked and customers cannot proceed.
Note
All time-based settings in this extension follow your OpenCart store’s time zone.
For OpenCart version 3.0.3.7 and above, the time zone setting is already available by default (see Picture 3).
For earlier versions, the extension includes its own time zone setting feature (see Picture 4).
Demo — Try Before You Buy

Note: Demo users have view-only access and cannot make changes.
Test how it works by visiting the frontend demo site:
- Place a test order.
- Proceed to the checkout page.
- At Step 5 (Payment Method), if you’re visiting outside of 9 AM – 7 PM (UTC), a notification will be displayed.
- Try again at a different time to compare.
This demo is currently set to show how the “Operating Hours” feature works with the “Notify Only” action.
