By default, the Store Credit module in OpenCart is always active once enabled. However, this extension gives you the flexibility to control when store credit should be applied — by allowing it to be automatically disabled based on specific events.

This is especially helpful for store owners who prefer not to allow the use of store credit when customers are already receiving other types of benefits, like coupons or reward points.

There are four types of conditions that can trigger the store credit to be disabled:

1. Product Discounts: One or more items in the cart have discount pricing applied.
2. Product Specials: One or more items in the cart have special pricing applied.
3. Coupon: A coupon code is used during checkout.
4. Reward Points: The customer redeems reward points.

You can see a sample case illustrated in the images above.

Requirements

• For OpenCart 4, this extension requires VQMod.
• Please ensure VQMod version 2.6.7 or newer is installed.

Features

• No new pages — it adds options directly within the existing Store Credit settings page.
• Also compatible with the Advance Store Credit order total module (view extension) for buyers of that module.

Want to see it in action? Try it on the demo site:

1. Log in using the following account, which has an available store credit balance:
   e-mail: user1demo@aauwwo.com
   password: demodemo
2. Add to cart a product that doesn't have a special price (e.g. iPhone).
3. Go to the shopping cart page and observe the total — you should see the store credit applied.
4. Now enter coupon code: 2222.
5. Check the order total again. The store credit should now be removed.

As an alternative to step 4, try adding the product “Canon EOS 5D” — since it has a special price, the store credit will also be removed automatically.

To explore the settings, visit the admin demo page:

2. Edit: Store Credit
3. You will find four new configuration fields there:
   • Product Discounts
   • Product Specials
   • Coupon
   • Reward Points

Note: As a demo user, you can view these fields but cannot modify them.
